ASRV released 60 NFTs of a luxury jacket
60 NFTS of jackets sold out with in 30 minutes. Each had a price of 348 USD.
This NFT collection was part of their new winter line. According to ASRV, holders of the NFTs could be granted a future utility with things like “discounts, gift cards, excursions, and retail store benefits” – features meant to encourage customer engagement and a sense of community.
Company ASRV was founded in 2014 and CEO Jay Barton is one of the younger generation of CEOs. He is just in his 30ies.
Maybe that’s the reasons why he recognizes NFTs as a tool to gain new customers. Even more: he – similar to Nike and Adidas – sees the future of retail in web3 and Metaverse.
ASRV is an online-only retailer, but there are plans to open the first brick-and-mortar retail store in Beverly Hills, California this February.
