Kaufland opened their first store in the Metaverse
The first Metaverse store of this german Supermarket chain is called Kaufisland. It’s open on a new “Island” within the video game called “Animal Crossing”. There is even a character who will be something like face of the store. His name is “Phil Leita”.
We are sure that it’s not a coincidence that in German “Filialneleiter” means store supervisor.
By the way Kaufland is one of the brands of one of the biggest German Retailers called Schwarz Group. Another very famose Brand is Lidl.
In the same game H&M also bought an island. This movments in the Metaverse are just showing how important new worlds are.
